BR Metals, a leading processor of catalytic converters in Asia, is pleased to announce it has been accepted as an affiliate member of the London Platinum and Palladium Market (LPPM).
read moreAt BR Metals, we buy and recycle scraps and secondary materials to recover platinum, palladium, rhodium, gold and silver. Committed to building long-term, win-win partnerships with customers around the world, we will go the extra mile to provide everything you come to expect from a reliable and responsive recycling partner, including personal customer care, total transparency and professionalism.
Whatever scraps you are recycling with us, be it spent catalytic converters, industrial catalysts, jewellery scraps or even karat gold, silver and platinum, you can be assured that BR Metals will not only maximise your returns, but also add a whole new level of value to your business with these competitive advantages:
Professional One-Stop Precious Metals Recycling Service
Whether it’s direct sale or value-based settlement, our customers can expect transparency and efficiency in every aspect of our business operations. From the first contact to discussing the recycling terms, to processing and sampling, through to precious metal analysis and final payment, you can expect nothing short of platinum class customer service at every step of the way.
We combine recycling service, market expertise, hedging and other financial instruments to offer customers with stress-free one-stop service for spent asset and precious metal recovery.
Patented Sampling System for Best Possible Returns
Considering the high prices of Platinum Group Metals (PGM), a proven sampling process is critical for minimising loss and attaining accurate value assessment. Our Engineering Team has developed an automated sampling system that is proven to process spent catalytic converters with greater efficiency, faster speed and lesser wastage than conventional bulk sampling systems. This system received 4 patents from the National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) of the People’s Republic of China, attesting our commitment to delivering the best returns for our customers’ scrap catalytic converters.
We have in place a rigorous Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for our sampling process to ensure all catalytic converters, diesel particulate filters and other PGM scraps are processed, sampled and analyzed with the highest levels of care and transparency.
For gold and silver secondary materials, we have also set up an equally stringent set of processes for analysis and recovery.
We strongly encourage all our customers to visit our facility and witness the processing and analysis of their catalytic converters and precious metals scraps. The entire sampling process is also fully documented and samples are also available for independent analysis upon request.
Strategic Collaboration with World’s Leading Refineries
BR Metals works with some of the world’s leading PGM refineries. We select the most efficient one based on our analysis results so that you get the best possible returns for your materials.
Precise Analysis for Your Spent Catalytic Converters & Precious Metals Scraps
For value-based settlement, the analysis stage is where the quantity and value of precious metals like Platinum, Palladium and Rhodium in spent catalytic converters and other scraps are determined.
Our analysis laboratories in Guangzhou and Singapore are equipped to provide precise PGM analysis that is key to transparent value assessment. Our teams of chemical specialists and technicians have both the professional expertise and hands-on knowledge to perform both XRF and ICP-OES assay analysis of catalytic converters and other precious metals scraps by both XRF. In fact, we developed a proprietary Standard Based Function Point Analysis (FPA) method to determine the precious metals content using XRF technology with better cost efficiency and speed.
To ensure our assay methodology continues to meet the most stringent international standards, our chemists frequently participate in international Round Robin tests, where our assay results consistently match up with top refineries and internationally renowned analytic laboratories. This means you can depend on us to provide precise and reliable assay of your precious metal scraps with total peace of mind.

Flexible Financing Options & Risk Management
For toll refining service or value-based settlement (Model B), BR Metals offers flexible financing options at attractive interest rates so that our customers can maintain or even increase their buying capacity while waiting for the final out turn of their metals. Down payments upon delivery and other financial assistance can also be arranged for long-term customers.
To minimise the risk from fluctuating precious metals prices, we offer hedging service to “lock in” prices of metals at the optimal daily rates or sell these metals on a fixed date later on. By “fixing” the metal prices, our customers can better manage their cash flow and even increase their earnings.
Our dedicated precious metals management team is also on hand to provide timely market information and professional trading advice. When you work with us, we take ownership of your growth and success.
Commitment to Sustainability
Our dedication to maximize returns for our customers in an increasingly volatile industry is only matched by our commitment to sustainability and environmental care. We are ISO 14001 2015 certified and proactively adopting cleaner and more energy efficient technology for the recycling of spent catalytic converters and other precious metal scraps. Despite higher operating costs, we are committed to conducting our business in an environmentally sustainable and socially responsible manner.
BR Metals specializes in the purchase, analysis and processing of Platinum Group Metals (PGM) scraps including spent catalytic converters, industrial catalyst and other materials. We have two processing and bulk sampling facilities in Singapore, Malaysia and the third one in Shaoguan, Guangdong. We recently opened two new Representative Offices in Bangkok, Thailand and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam to better serve our local customers.
With our proven sampling process, quick and precise analysis and value-add services, you can depend on us to maximise the returns of your scrap quickly and efficiently. We will also take care of every aspect of the recycling process – from the transportation of your scrap to our facilities, to ensuring a fast turnaround time and offering flexible payment options to meet your specific needs and through to selecting the most suitable refinery that provides the best recycling rates and financial outcome. We’re here to make selling your catalytic converters and other PGM scraps easier so that you can focus on what matters most – growing your business.
