 Roles & Responsibilities

The Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for managing the end-to-end logistics process, ensuring the timely and efficient movement of materials within and outside Malaysia. He/ She will coordinate shipments, liaise with suppliers and transportation providers, and track inventory to ensure smooth and timely operations across our supply chain.

 

Job Duties

  1. Shipment Management & Coordination
  • Manage import and export containers to ensure the accuracy of the shipment deliveries.
  • Liaise with logistics service providers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Address and resolve any logistical issues that arise during transportation, including delays, damages, or lost goods.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers and vendors regarding delivery inquiries or issues.
  • Coordinate the movement of goods between warehouses or from warehouses to customers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

 

  1. Logistics Cost Management & Quotation Sourcing
  • Source for third-party logistics service providers to drive down costs.
  • Review bills and invoices to prevent over-billing.
  • Perform freight cost and documentation audit.

 

  1. Inventory & Documentation Management
  • Record and update inventory report for E-waste, scrap metals, sampling, and metallic converters.
  • Create work order for the Production Team upon receipt of materials.
  • Create invoice and packing lists and update shipment information in the master list file.
  • Maintain records of scrap metal weight and issue invoice for scrap metal buyers.
  • File shipping documentation manually and electronically
  • Upload information and photos of samples into the company product database.

 

  1. Reporting & Performance Tracking
  • Track performance metrics (on-time delivery rates, shipment costs, etc.) to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide regular reports to management regarding logistics activities, costs, and performance.
  • Generate monthly reports for DOE, second-hand items, sales personnel import and export figures, freight report, month-end stockpile, etc.

 

  1. Administrative & Miscellaneous Tasks
  • Arrange courier services for documentation, gifts, samples.
  • Ensure payments are processed on time.

 

Job Prerequisites

  • Diploma in Logistics or equivalent qualifications.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in related field.
  • Meticulous and well-organized.
  • Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word etc.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia (essential for effective communication)
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous for liaising with Chinese counterparts.
